Your story travels as a copy
HeldTale does not host your stories or photos. Keep a private backup for recovery, and choose which chapters to pass on. A keeper name is part of the story, not verified identity or proof of ownership. Sent copies remain with the people who receive them.

The price appears before you begin your first original story. Photos and chapters travel together in a file, with a readable copy for people who do not have HeldTale. Recipients can import it, choose to become its next keeper, add a chapter and pass a complete copy onward without buying the creator unlock.
HeldTale does not host your stories. They stay on your devices and in backups you choose. Copies do not update automatically, and a previously shared file cannot be taken back or remotely erased. Keep a backup; Restore Purchases restores the creator unlock, not a missing story. Files do not expire because you decline a purchase. Keeper names and chapters are a personal story, not verified identity, exclusive custody or proof of legal ownership. Some sharing or backup services you choose may store the file under their own terms.
